Hootsuite has issued a fascinating report about social media trends for 2023. In the introduction, it states:
“In 2023, successful social marketers will take the time and effort to carefully assess their opportunities, use a scalpel rather than a cleaver.”
The days of generating leads by doing a massive volume play on LinkedIn with automation tools is over. The focus has shifted to effectively targeting and narrowing down your audience, and giving them relevant and useful content. The more specific you are, the greater your opportunities of connecting will be.
There’s always lots of noise on the LinkedIn lead generation social media forums about the platforms you can and can’t trust. Using LinkedIn automation safely, is top priority at Dux-Soup. The Dux-Soup tool mimics human behaviour and by using the recommended settings you lower the risk of detection by LinkedIn. We haven’t seen the end to LinkedIn changing the connection limits, and we’ll be looking out for modifications again this year.
How do you find the time this year to be successful and focus on qualifying opportunities that could progress through your pipeline? Take a hybrid approach to the way you work. Use Dux-Soup as your LinkedIn automation tool and let it take care of some of the time-consuming activities that take up your day, such as sending connection requests, visiting profiles or sending nurture messages to keep your contacts warm.
Can you recall the scene in “Friends'' where Joey, Ross and Rachel are trying to move a sofa up a staircase and Ross is shouting “pivot!”? Well, according to Hubspot one of the best tactics for 2023 is “plan to pivot”. The usefulness of a platform can change overnight - Twitter is a perfect example of the volume and speed at which users can suddenly leave.
Hubspot said that around 20% of marketers are already pivoting their messaging. “Growth”, “revenue” and “sales'' were frequently used words not so long ago. Now with the decline in the global economy, lots of countries are facing challenges and so messaging has changed. Marketers now include phrases like “fast return on investment”, “rapid impact” and “cost minimization”. The companies that survived the Covid-19 lockdown and the ensuing downturn were most likely the ones who quickly pivoted their business models.
Never underestimate the power of your profile on LinkedIn, it can completely transform your business! 2023 is the year to optimize your profile, be authentic and bring in your personality.
Tracy Enos recently wrote a blog for us in which she succinctly summarized why it’s so important to spend time on your profile…
“99% of your activities on LinkedIn are tied to your profile. What they see first is your photo and headline. If you blow it here, then the rest of your profile can be pure gold, and IT WON’T MATTER.”
If you’d like to see what else she has to tell us, take a look at her blog: Is your LinkedIn profile attracting or repelling your ideal client? 5 profile tips for 2023
Make your LinkedIn profile a client facing promotional page highlighting what you have to offer and how you can help businesses. Your profile is about making connections, you want to appeal to your prospects, don’t turn them off by giving them a resume or CV!
Tyron Guilliani, the LinkedIn Sales Expert, Founder of Selling Made Social and regular speaker at our guest webinars has re-engineered his profile, turning it into a microsite. He uses videos, images and testimonials all of which make his profile more appealing and increase engagement. Take a look at Tyron’s profile for some inspiration.
Be authentic
It’s fair to say we’d all rather engage with someone who is genuine. When you’re writing your content is your tone appropriate? Does your content reflect your own values? In real-life, if they were standing in front of you, how would you actually speak? These days people are carrying out their own due diligence before deciding who to connect and engage with. They want to know you’re worth giving up time for.
In addition to our continued focus to offer new users a FREE 14-day Dux-Soup trial, we are also hugely committed to our existing users. We spend a lot of time listening to our customers to make sure we’re focusing our time developing the tool in the way it’s needed. We’re looking into lots of things and here are the ones we think you’ll be most excited about…
Team functionality is one of the most requested areas for development and so this is what we’re planning…
1. Digital agencies may run hundreds of LinkedIn profiles on behalf of their customers. To make their day-to-day deployment and operation activities simpler, we are looking into the possibility of Cloud deployment.
2. Similarly, for people on the move, whether that’s on the road, or frequently switching workstations, a Cloud based solution may also improve management of their day-to-day Dux-Soup activities.
Dux-Soup is all about LinkedIn automation. Our aim is to give you more time to spend with the prospects you want to nurture - this is particularly useful during the final stages of your sales funnel. AI is becoming more reliable, and with the right datasets you can trust it to make the right decisions. A lot of work goes into getting a prospect from the start to the end of a sales funnel, so we are looking at how we can use AI in campaigns to reduce the manual effort required to run them.
We are focusing our attention on…
